UNDERSTANDING WHAT MATTERS TO ME

Before our Group Coaching Session, here is a bit of reflection on OUR VALUES and It’s IMPACT
What are values, in this context ? Values are the principles and qualities that matter deeply to us the things that influence what we choose, how we behave, what we expect from others and what we find meaningful at work.
In a group, we often assume that others see situations, make decisions and respond to challenges in much the same way we do. Yet beneath our behaviours are different values, priorities and definitions of what matters.
This reflection is an opportunity to identify your own Top Five Values not to judge them or rank them as “right” or “wrong”, but to become more conscious of what drives you.
Why does this matter for our group coaching?
Because synergy begins with understanding, when we recognise what matters to ourselves and appreciate what may matter differently to others, we are better able to understand different perspectives, reduce unproductive assumptions and find common ground. This creates the foundation for a group to consciously agree on how we want to work together, what we want to stand for, and how we will be going forward.
There are no right or wrong answers. Choose what genuinely resonates with you rather than what you think you “should” value.
Please spend 15–20 minutes on this reflection before the session and bring it with you. Your responses will be a starting point for our collective conversation.
Kindly keep your answers brief (under 50 words) while expressing your thoughts clearly.

Step 1 of 2

1. Think about what gives you energy... Think of a time at work when you felt: particularly engaged • proud of what you were doing • that the work was meaningful • that you were being 'yourself'

2. Think about what frustrates you. Think of a situation at work that particularly frustrated you.

3. What do you admire in others? Think of two or three people you respect or admire professionally.

4. Identify your TOP FIVE VALUES. Below is a list of values. First, read through the list and identify around 10 values that feel important to you. Then narrow these down to your TOP FIVE. There is no need to rank them yet.

Values:(Required)

If you feel your most important values are not in this list, please feel free to choose from outside the list. It is important you choose a word that resonates strongly with you.
